I cannot believe that it is already week 6 of Term 3. We had a great time at swimming (although it was tiring) and the students all improved wonderfully. Life Ed was interesting and helped us learn a great deal in a short time. We have started having proper show practices and focusing on ensuring we get all of our core work done. Reading testing is underway and I am pleased with the results so far. Writing and maths are next up! Several of our room 12 students are involved in ICT and the Malfroy Market fundraising - look on the school website for the details... (see button below) and they are helping their classmates learn new skills too. Have you seen the thinglinks yet? Check out some of the students blogs - if they are not there yet then they will be coming soon to a blog near you!

Kia Ora,
It has been great to see all students making progress in swimming over the week. They are working very hard and I've noticed that they are pretty tired by the end of the day and often eat most of their lunch at moring tea. Please check if they need a little more than usual while swimming is on. Thanks to the parents who are helping with preparation for the show. I appreciate your support and efforts. I hope you are enjoying the homework challenges. It is my goal to help students learn more about NZ, the world and its history and to value discovery and community, while giving them some choice. I am really enjoying what the students are sharing and producing. As always, please see me if you have any issues or concerns or even celebrations. Thank you for the opportunity to partner with you in your child's learning. |
